About the author

Laura Diebelius

Thank you for visiting my page! A bit about me…

Award-winning author, avid reader, regular exerciser and occasional wine drinker. You’ll find me in the Westminster bubble during the week and seaside dwelling at the weekend with my children, husband and cat.

I’ve been a bookworm for as long as I can remember with my nose constantly in a Jacqueline Wilson or Roald Dahl growing up.

Inspired by my children, I’ve written two heart-warming tales reminding us that love, patience, and a little bit of waiting can lead to the sweetest surprises. Illustrations by the talented Francesca Watt, see more www.littleunisaurbooks.com.

Book readings

For the launch of I’m Going to Have a Sister, I held a book reading at a local bookshop. I returned during National Storytelling Week 2024 to read to a group of children. I also visited a school for World Book Day 2024 and read to 80 children and their parents. If you live locally to Essex or London and would be interested in an author visit, please get in touch.

Local newspaper

In April 2024, I featured in my local newspaper to celebrate my gold-medal win in the Wishing Shelf Book Awards and nomination in the Indieverse Book Awards.
